Regarding the NGSL itself: The list was compiled by Dr. Charles Browne, Dr. Brent Culligan, and Joseph Phillips in 2013, following extensive analysis of the 2-billion-word Cambridge English Corpus (CEC). The creation of the NGSL involved meticulous corpus research, and the list is utilized here with appropriate permission.

The application also features an Intelligent Flashcards system and Wordlist Maker.
